This typographic illustration is dedicated to International Women's Day.
As a feminist, I always think how great to live now, in modern society, where every woman has an opportunity choose profession, to study, to vote, to be an artist or a teacher without a struggle.
After women gained suffrage in 1917, March 8 became a national holiday here. In modern Russia Women's Day is usually associated with flowers. This day women of all ages receive flowers as a symbol of respect and love, and congratulate each other as well.
This day I organised a special workshop. With 2 amazing girls we were creating decorative fonts and beautiful flowers using chalk and soft pastel.
As usual, I made some tutorials. Learn to draw chalk flowers and don't forget to appreciate the lessons :)
