Alexander Hamilton (Level Chinese Book)

Before starting this book for Level Chinese on Alexander Hamilton, my knowledge on the man was limited to say the least. I always enjoy learning about our history and this was a great way to discover some of the origins of my home country and a face I have seen since the first time I saw a $10 note.
Alexander Hamilton was an American statesman and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was an influential interpreter and promoter of the U.S. Constitution, as well as the founder of the nation's financial system, the Federalist Party, the United States Coast Guard, and the New York Post newspaper.
Since the beginning of the American Civil War, Hamilton has been depicted on more denominations of U.S. currency than anyone else. He has appeared on the $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $1,000 notes. Hamilton also appears on the $500 Series EE Savings Bond.
Alexander Hamilton was born on 1757 into a poor family. He was abandoned by his father and his mother died when he was a child.
Alexander had to work since he was young. He studied hard, hoping that one day he could help others.
After Hamilton grew up, he joined the American Revolution Army. His bravery was respected by many, in particular, President George Washington. The President appointed him as the first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury on September 11, 1789.
The First Bank building, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, within Independence National Historical Park was completed in 1797, and is a National Historic Landmark for its historic and architectural significance.
The signing of the U.S. Constitution.
