Interdisciplinary Arts Center in Vilnius

Conceptual project - 2010

The territory is located in specific urban structure: Vilnius old town, near Rūdninkų square. The history of this territory is changeable. The vision is to create unconventionality attitude, an emotion and attraction, basicly - to show conventional things in unconventional way. The building is a composition of three rightangled parallelepiped cubes. The most expressive one is designed as a formant of Rūdninkų square. The culmination of this structure is raised from the surface angle, who‘s edge is oriented to the main crossing and the dominant object of the territory – the tower of All Saints church. That is the reasoned solution why the main entrance is designed in this place. Big attitude is based on the creating changeable spaces. Designed building composition creates them in both – exterior and interior. The object is sculpturesque, giving the course of the previous idea of this territory to be an exhibitionary square of sculptures.
