Immortal Vanity
While some organ donation CONS might be legitimate, I am shocked by the amount of plain, narrow-minded, fearful, and egocentric arguments that are common.
Organ donation can be the most precious and appreciated gift you ever give to a human, a decision so impactful, it can save lives for many years. Compared to that some arguments against it seem insignificant, nitpicky or even evil. People base their decision for a "NO" on dubious religious interpretations. They label victims as culprits ("They wish you death as soon as you decide to donate"). Or shittalk the whole system, by refering to single bad events. To me, however, most of those CONS seem to originate from the very same, plain thought that is: "I just want to be "complete" in my grave"
.... Our body serves no purpose after death and will eventually fade. Organ donation won't cost you anything...except some peoples immortal vanity.
