カルティ(CARTI)

カルティ(Carti)
When my friend A$AP Lou mentioned about Playboi Carti last year, I didn't even hear his name. Fortunately I watched his M/V of "Magnolia" at this spring and got inspiration for drawing coz it was so so nice.
My first sketch which I draw without photo lol. Is this look like him?
Now it looks more like him. But I wanted to put some special point in this. At the same time, Avengers of Marvel released. So I thought that Thanos's hand will be add him an image of strong. Above all things, I thought it would be funny haha.
Now we have a gauntlet and some gradation is added. And also text on it. Yet it's like poster but it will be turned into like book cover mood. But first, I should make the line clearly.
Well I thought that if there were some street object back side it would be more nice. But I couldn't decide which will be the best. So went for coloring.
I googled some background images of city and here are two sketches which I did.
Finally I decide which I will draw. I have to make this more solid. Color, shadows, effects, sky, textures, and the mood.
Here I skipped the coloring part coz it's just processes of long and tough steps. (I attached GIF file at the last of this post so that you could check it.) I think coloring is going well so I will consider bigger background. Out of the box.
Only text will be simple, but I want to make this more like book cover as I said before. Tried to find some object beyond text. I found that there was umbrella in his M/V. So I decided to use it.
Two trials with umbrella. Pattern seems more nice.
Almost done. Text changed to Japanese. I don't know why but Japanese words are so beautiful to me. It means "CARTI". Now I have.. color check, line clearing, some effects, and finding which parts is deficient.
Finally It's done! I didn't think that this post goes this long. Thank you for watching!
Made by Adobe Photoshop CS3, 958 layers, 2.5 weeks. 27 x 32 inches.

*Here is the process which I mentioned. Sorry for bad English though lol.
