This was a project I started and did most of the work on in College. It has a very, very in depth and lengthy explanation but I will try to put it in relatively simple terms here. I choose a ten part Gregorian chant, a sung prayer, this particular prayer was for protection and safety. I chose to do a portrait of an endangered animal for every part of the ten part prayer. I only every got seven portraits done. You can see that they appear to be growling, but really they are singing, as if participating in the Gregorian chant themselves.
