I created this illustration (using Manga Studio and Adobe Photoshop) for an Iranian educational scientific books publication (www.olgoobooks.ir) advertisement. I had an idea of mixing two elements of two great artists: Michelangelo (the most famous Italian artist of 15th. and 16th. centuries)'s "Creation of Adam" and Gustave Doré (famous French artist of 19th. century)'s scenery and engraving style. Michelangelo was a great artist and Doré was a man of profound technique. I tried to depict the publication motto: "Stand on the shoulder of giants" (based on Sir Isaac Newton's quote: "If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants.") in an epic style to show the importance of earning courage and enthusiasm for stepping beyond the boundaries for achieving the knowledge.
