I chose the reference pictures to show the joyful wonder of life in Indonesia.
I feel that there's a gap between "pribumi" and "Chinese" realities in Indonesia.
As a Chinese descended Indonesian, i struggle to connect with images like these.
My reality just didn't line up with these picture perfect scenes, i've developed a longing for them.
Somehow i feel like a foreigner in my own homeland.
