The Flight Recorder

THE FLIGHT RECORDER

An instructional booklet made for a project as part of the subject Visualising Experience at University of Technology Sydney. The main goal of the booklet was to communicate an interactive experience that would take place around a chosen object at the MAAS (Powerhouse Museum Sydney), the chosen object was a Flight Recorder, otherwise known as a “Black Box”. The booklet would act as both a guide and a personal souvenir to take home once the user had finished the interaction. The visuals take cue from instructional booklets aboard airplanes, found behind the seats and the colour palette was chosen as a homage to the actual colour of the Flight Recorder, Fluoro Orange, paired with a complimentary Blue; all this printed through a Risograph Printer.
