Brain Food - Bachelor Degree Project

TASK: Based on the UN's 17 sustainability goals, develop a design concept that contributes
and helps us achieve the goals.

PROBLEM: 160,000 persons in Sweden suffer from any type of dementia in which alzheimer is the most common. The main risk factors are age and heredity, but the disease can also occur early, from the age of 35. The problem is that the disease is increasing and the number of sufferers will double by 2050 if nothing is done. The other problem is that there is not enough money to drive research forward towards a cure. This became the basis for my work.

DID YOU KNOW: that you can reduce the risk of suffering from Alzheimer's disease and with simple everyday tricks? According to researchers, the right kind of food can reduce the risk of up to 50%. Exercising and being physically active reduces the risk of suffering. To hang out with friends and have a broad social network can protect against developing the disease. Researchers have also found that high education is a factor that reduces the risk of Alzheimer's disease.But how do you know which food is good food for the brain?

SOLUTION: With my project Brain Food, I want to facilitate and inform about these things. But from a positive point of view, because it's not too late, you can influence yourself to keep your brain healthy. And of course, all profits go to research on Alzheimer's. What does Brain Food do?

MARKING: In order to make it easier for people to know which food is good for the brain, Brain Food has produced a label
that is put on food in the grocery store. The label indicates that the food is good for the brain.

POP UP CAFE: To pay attention to the other things that are good for reducing the risk of develop Alzheimer´s, such as exercising, socializing and studying, Brain Food has developed products. The products are snacks that are good for the brain
that are sold in Brain Foods pop up cafe.
