Solution 1 - The Guilt Clip

If one resolved not to smoke that day/evening, the clip would be placed on the side of the pack, hindering its ability to open. This would serve as a reminder of the goal not to smoke set forth earlier. From there the person would have to make a choice as to how to proceed. When the smoker is on their way to an event or circumstance where they plan to smoke (bar, restaurant, vacation, etc.) the clip would then be placed at the bottom of the pack, freeing up the lid for use. In this case, the clip could also serve to hold other items you might also carry in those scenarios, such as I.D., credit card, and cash.
Solution 2 - The Sly Slide

With this device, the casual smoker can better utilize the cigarette as an indulgence--a treat. To make sure they don't overdue it while out enjoying an evening with friends, they can limit themselves just to the six (or less) that fit into their Sly Slide. The case is designed to be stylish and is built for sharing, which can lead to the owner smoking even less while still enjoying the pasttime. The case is made of clear plexiglas, allowing its owner to better monitor how quickly he/she is smoking their self-imposed allotment.
Solution 3 - The Upright Citizen

This case works similarly to the Sly Slide, in that it is easy to monitor the user's intake, and it's built for sharing! This design was created based on research that showed a large amount of people who consider themselves to be "casual smokers" only smoke at home. This case contains a full 20 cigarettes and can be placed in the home for enjoyment now and again, or even as an offering during a gathering.
