UBER Trip preferences

UBER: as any culture around the world the Egyptian culture and the way people deal with different situations is a lot different than many other places around the globe, so here’s a problem we spotted that maybe relevant specifically to this part of the world and here’s our humble suggestion to a solution.
Problem:
According to Uber Guideline
- Drivers should not smoke
- Start talking with the customer
- Drive recklessly
but unfortunately that’s not the way things works around here in Egypt, despite all that being the standard rules، alot of the drivers never follow these rules specially the talking rule and many customers often find it very embarrassing to ask for their rights, as a culture we still feel this is the drivers car not our own, it feels a bit embarrassing to ask him sometimes to stop talking or stop smoking or not to take a phone call etc…
Solution:
The card will be shown at the top of the main first screen only the first time, then it’ll show while waiting for a driver as shown here, so you can change your initial preferences with every trip if needed, it’ll keep the previous preferences, you don’t have to set it every time, just when you want to change the preferences.
So what are the preferences we’ve chosen:
1- No smoking
2- Be quiet
3- No music
4- AC
5- No rush drive
6- Follow GPS
We’ve made a survey here over FB earlier, that seems to be the most annoying driver behavior there is.
When the driver accepts the trip, he’ll get a note with the customer preferences.
This was a one week sprint:
1- Spotted the problem
2- Reasons behind the problem
(How drivers behave, what painful cases happen??)
3- Ideating/refining/sketching
4,5- UI
Open to any kind of feedback :)
Note: this is a concept, not officially involved in any way with UBER
