Functionality is imperative for any product created. This project was designed with the aim to find functionality using corrugated cardboard for lounge seating. No any other material was to be used apart from glue, which made the process of the design quite tough as strength and durability were needed to be found solely through the material itself.  

Many tests were conducted to figure out the material specifications, which led to a strong design, and a functional, durable cardboard lounge chair. The several layers are cut using a CNC cutting machine leaving the corrugations to face upwards, allowing the material to use its full strength when joined together. Aesthetics and ergonomics were also given their utmost importance during the design process, as it is imperative to conclude with a product which is functional but also aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically correct.
