The final project was to create a printing process handbook.

 

First, I created the background pages for the handbook in Illustrator and then placed the files in InDesign.

Next, I gathered all the text, images, and general information I needed and organized them into spreads. After that, I organized definitions next to their respective sample circle.

Finally, I printed the pages and bound the book by stapling and adhering the front and back cover to a hard yet flexible board.

 

I learned quite a bit from this project. I was never really sure how much time consuming printing could be, but how the end result could be incredible if one is looking at the right press. I learned about papers, inks, finishes, production, and binding. I also learned about how publications are made and how the finishes are added to a publication to make them unique.
