Tasks: Create a film of an art director´s portfolio: Concept, Storyboarding, Style-frames, Previs, shading and Rendering

 

Scope: one white and one colored version for web

 

Software: Cinema 4d (+Vray) and After Effects

 

Info: Philippe was asking me to create a portfolio-film to present his commercial and noncommercial works in a different way. He thought about unfolding objects which creates a small world out of cardboard rather than the a lot seen Ken Burns Effect. For the intro I came up with the idea to build an amusement-park with a stage in the middle of the scene. The upcoming city represents his commercial work and the universe afterwards his side projects.

 

We tried two versions: a black & white and a colored version.
