This book cover design for the classic novel, Ulysses, has the aim of conveying the tension and uncertainty of the plot. This anxiety is expressed by the main characters of the book as they search for identity, deal with feelings of remorse and issues about fidelity.

This book cover was an assigned project for my Graphic Design and Typography course.  The main objectives were to continue learning the interface and capabilities of InDesign and to develop a design aesthetic that conceptualized the book.  Additionally, the design should be visually pleasing and uses elements of design to support the concept.  All elements and the composition work together to communicate a message to the viewer.  There is nothing to distract from the main message:  everything supports and enhances the idea being communicated.
