The packaging company, DS Smith requires an innovative and effective new way to package items bought online. With the online retail sector, ever-growing, packaging companies are always looking for package that can protect the product/s within, are secure and easy to assemble. The packaging should also be easy to dispose of and may even have a possible second use. The solution should be able to hold a wide range of products, and work with different shapes and sizes.
The packaging must be made of corrugated board. It is a strong yet light material which is used in packaging around the world to make boxes, trays and cases. Corrugated board is generally made using recycled papers, and is, itself fully recyclable. The board is cost effective, but the solution should be effective enough so excess board is not used when packaging obscurely shaped packages.
