Description: the task was to create an entirely new textile brand catering any product line. For this some steps were taken. The steps are:
Mind Mapping:
Before selecting the name of a brand I short listed the key words according to my field of interest. I highlighted the points on which I want my brand to be based on. I named my brand "Sobremesa" which means- the time spent around the table after lunch or dinner, talking to the people you shared the meal with; time to digest and savour both food and friendship.I decided to work on an art movement which is Art Nouveau using motifs and elements from that movement's work.

Visual References:
I researched on images from Art nouveau on which my brand will be based on. These images will be taken as inspiration. I will be using elements from these.
Logo Sketches:
Logo is important for brand's identification. I made various logo sketches according to my brand out of which the final logo was chosen.

I started off by making motifs and elements which were later on flipped, arranged, manipulated, rotated to make various arrangements.
Prototyping:
Lo-Fi: I wrote all the specifications about my end product which contains the size, material and the technique. My end product would be a table mat
Hi-Fi: I did hand embroidery on khaddar.

Process of final product:
I got machine embroidery done on some parts of the mat and the rest was hand embroidery and ribbon work. The material used for the mats is cotton satin.
