Scavenger Hunt Installation & App Design

In my Publishing Lab class, I had to create a notification system with an app and installation for my school, Maine College of Art. I create a scavenger hunt for MECA called "Hidden Gems." I took inspiration from cartoons and online games from the 2000s to make the scavenger hunt look like a fun and engaging activity for students. There are three color-coded categories: art, writing, and mystery.

Here are my mockups for the installation, located on the fourth floor. Here, students who hide something in the scavenger hunt can post their clues and also take stickers out of an envelope in order to mark the item.
Sticker designs and flyers that hang around the school to give students incentive to go up and visit the installation:
On the app part of this project, students can make profiles and share with one another what they have found in the scavenger hunt. The app has an instructional guide, a "Found" section which is a feed for photographs of found items, and a "Forum" section for discussion and chatting.
