The Economist-Editorial Cover

Marketing studies have shown about eighty percent of consumer magazines’ newsstand sales are influenced by what is shown on the cover. The average reader spends only three to five seconds scanning a magazine cover to determine if they want to choose that particular magazine over the myriad others next to it in a newsstand

For this project we were asked to design a compelling editorial cover for a well-known consumer magazine that was randomly assigned to us. I was given the magazine, The Economist.  I chose to focus my cover design around an article called "Accusing Video Games for School Shootings is Misguided and Dangerous" from RollingStone.com.
