This project was truly inspiring. My class went to Dubuque, Iowa to meet with clients that wanted a new identity for their business. I personally had a vacant building that they wanted a shoe store in. I chose that for the demographic  a green grocer grocery store would be a better and healthier option for this area.

With that, I came up with the name Snap Pea Grocery. Here customers would be able to get fresh produce and dairy at a location that is more convienent.

I created a whole new storefront and also a identity for this building.
These are the pre-existing conditions of my storefront.
This is the main identity for Snap Pea Grocery. I used a vibrant color palette to coincide with the produce you would find inside the store. The simple and beautiful green circle adds just enough visual interest, relates to the name, and is eye catching to the future customer.
The new storefront that I created. I took the already painted brick and updated it to a bright yellow to go along with the identity. The red awning lets the customer know where to come in at and also helps to break the transom up. I re-created the ramps railing to go with the identity as well so it really helps pull the store and the identity together.

Here you also see a perpendicular view. I changed the identity so that it would be able to fit in a more vertical fashion instead of always having to be horizontal. The armature that extends the signs out mimics that of a pea pod and the curves are much more organic that a straight out armature.
This view shows how the shadows hit the windows and also how the railing coincides with the ramp. I re-purposed the bulkhead/bench combination that you can see in the pre-existing condition photos into a planter. That way it adds to the freshness of the store and also doesn't allow onlookers to deter customers from entering the store.
