“The human race is extraordinarily diverse in so many ways. Gender, ethnicity, race, class, religion, nationality, sexuality, philosophy, lifestyle. The areas in which we differ are endless.

Yet, at a basic level, we are all of the same human species. We experience highs and lows in life and strive to be happy and ful lled.

As a HND1 Creative Printmaker, at City of Glasgow College, my challenge is to produce three examples of mixed media artwork that reflects the diversity around us. Through the process of linocut, screen as well as drypoint printing combined with various methods of hand rendered colour and texture brought together through scanning and use of Adobe Photoshop. Our class worked in collaboration with ESOL students to create a A3 image that utilises both colour and typographical elements.
