Inspired by my many travels to Africa, I created this rhino using solely typography. Since Sudan's passing (the last male Northern White Rhino), there are now only 2 Northern White Rhinos left. Over a million rhinos roamed Africa’s savanna's 150 years ago. Today, the continent’s remaining rhinos are found in only four countries – South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. In 2017 alone, over 1,000 rhinos were killed in South Africa... That's about three per day. Rhino horn is highly demanded in Asia, especially in Vietnam. Some believe it has medicinal value, capable of anything from curing cancer to working as an aphrodisiac. In honor of this vulnerable species, I've created this illustration.
