Light Installation
BRIEF :
Create an installation in a space with use of Light

CONCEPT:
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a poet's view on the nature of colors. He observed that color arises at the edges, and the spectrum occurs where these colored edges overlap. Through this installation we make an attempt to view this spectrum through our naked eyes and to be immersed in it.

Brainstorming on light and color theories by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Exploring the color spectrum using concave & convex lens, CD, lasers,
gelatin sheets etc.
Looking through a water prism one can see more than the usual 7 color spectrum band of Newton. According to Goethe's theory the color spectrum includes new colors - Cyan & Magenta
Experimenting with prism sizes, angles and construction of water prism with acrylic and silicon glue once the angles were determined.
Installing the water prisms on site such that Natural Light passes through the prisms and allows one to see the other side with magenta and cyan thus helping in understanding Goethe's Theory.
Final Installation - POEM OF COLORS (12 Water Prisms)
The space around the installation also gets engulfed in Goethe's colors leaving you mesmerized and colored.
Don't forget to appreciate and leave feedback ! Thank you.
