I had some trouble thinking of ideas for this one at first. Didn't seem like there was a whole lot to do with compost in terms of making an idea that didn't feel overdone or over-simplified, or just plain boring. I ended up deciding to have a "Mother Nature" character consuming compost. I wanted to depict Mother Nature in a sort of superheroic fashion. I based my Mother Nature mostly on a Gatorade ad, She-Hulk and Captain Planet. I drew the black and white version of Mother Nature in my sketchbook and scanned it into the computer then did a live trace in Illustrator and colored it in Photoshop then added the text in Illustrator. I wanted to do more with the background but couldn't think of anything that I could do given the amount of time I had to complete the poster(other final projects due and such).
