The brief was to get under your skin and understand yourself as a brand - your key values, what you stand for and how you want others to perceive you.
I would describe myself as a maker, through different mediums, and took this as a chance to bring this period from an old photograph back to life. The materials, tools and time intensive process associated with the material conjure the idea of patience as well as tradition. The handkerchief felt like a personal subject and medium, but also has associations with being tactile, dependable and loyal. Much of my work is bound up with memory and ideas surrounding family.
