Market Analysis

PMPML is the main public transport provider in the Pune metropolitan area.12 lakh passenger’s daily travel by PMPML Bus. Nearly 1923 buses having around 3019 schedules providing around 21218 trips per day for the passengers.

According to PMPML report passenger traffic has significantly increase. Improvement in PMPML is the key to solving traffic problems in the city. This scorecard assesses the service delivered to the commuters. So I started my market research based on the following: Is the service RELIABLE, COMFORTABLE, CONVENIENT and AFFORDABLE?
Conclusion
Based on user interview, I have reached to a conclusion that most of the users want such an app which will help them to find nearby bus stop, real time bus tracking with Estimated Time of Arrival and also help for getting online bus pass. This app helps to PMPML make service RELIABLE, COMFORTABLE, CONVENIENT and AFFORDABLE.​​​​​​​

Type of User

This application will be used by two types of users:
1) Passenger
2) Driver

Here the persona is used to represent motivation, goals and frustrations of the target users on City Bus app.
