iCloud Storage 'Parody Logo' | Typography Project

This project that began in mid February was based around the idea of designing a logo that would act as a “parody identity” for a fictional self storage company, that would be based on the online storage service iCloud, by the use of a simple visual style that includes a whole new colour scheme and choice of font. This also includes an illustration that would communicate the values and functionality of the alternative business, that itself would to be separate from the official logo as much as possible.

As you will see, the final logo itself consists of three different versions, the first being a non-coloured flat version for vector-based purposes, the second also being flat but with the inclusion of colour that would act as the main identity, and a third alternative that removes the border to create a more minimalistic approach with the inclusion of lighting effects made with a gradient.

For the display mockups, I decided to place the final outcomes on a square piece of paper for potential presentation purposes, as well as an outdoor sign that also illuminates in the night giving the impression that the companies’ building is in fact nearby.
