How celebrities influence design and trends
We all have celebrities that we love and some that we hate. Even though it might not always seem like it, they set most of the trends around us. If you find a celebrity that you really like, the chances are that you will want to dress like them and act like them. When people like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylie Jenner and even the Queen of England lift their opinion, people listen and react very quickly.
I will be taking a look on how past celebrities such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe had an effect on the style and art of their time and also their influence on the present day. How the way they dressed influenced their fans to a whole new style and trend.
When your friend says that something looks nice, it might not always trigger you to change your opinion about it, but when someone famous says something ugly is pretty, it’s pretty, but why is this? How can celebrities affect fashion trends so easily? How can they change our perception of something so quickly?
Puma often uses non-sport celebrities to campaign their latest fashion. Why someone with no sport talent like Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez (as they have used in the past), why not more often use women or men that stand out in sport.
