Grecco-inspired bathroom remodel with marble tile.

Bath design and tile installation for homeowners proud of their Greek heritage.
Desired to use a historic pattern prevalent in architecture surrounding the Roman Empire; ancient temples incorporated the "key" pattern as an illustration of the concepts of infinity and unity.
This border design came into vogue in the United States as an important element of Neoclassical architecture during the late 18th and early 19th century.
For this project, a "rug" detail was cut out of imported marble tile and then surrounded by the Greek key listello.
Subway tile was set over a waterproof shower system with built-in wall niche construction.
