An insight into my inner world: my beloved “quartier latin” and its cafés…

This was a personal challenge I gave to myself as a self-discovery journey. I grew up in an intellectual atmosphere where poetry, philosophy and Parisian landscape were melting into a delightful daydream. Through this self-portrait, I wanted to visually express the emotions that I feel when I am in that meditation state. I chose to use Chinese ink and watercolour to better communicate the evanescence and the instability of emotions. Melancholia and wonderment as expressed by romantic authors from the XIXth century are always a great source of inspiration.
