I was commissioned by a friend to create a tattoo design. The inspiration was mermaids and the U.S. Navy because she wanted to do one dedicated to her father because he was apart of that branch of the military. The words "Semper Fortis" frame the bottom right of the sketch because it is the motto of the U.S. Navy. The two images at the bottom were the inspiration for the mermaid and the the crown that is at the top of the finished piece.
