A template I made for when the event organizing team needs to send out short updates or reminders. The event organization team is called "PopOps" so I thought about designing this template after computer pop up windows.
A flyer for an International Snack Week event at the office. I took inspiration from old posters for fairs. I really love the colors here and how they pop.
Part 1 of a series of flyers I made to advertise the Holiday Happy Hour event for the office.
Part 2 of the holiday flyers. This is a more condensed version used on the doors and high traffic areas of the office.
A piece I did for a photo contest at my school. I wasn't given a theme or a prompt so I tried to stay away from school colors and such. I went for a more retro look with the dulled colors and used a Polaroid as the frame. This specific design was used for stake-ins across campus.
Onigiri Fundraiser

Another of my favorite flyers that I created for the Japanese American Student Association. The goal was to promote an upcoming onigiri, or rice ball, fundraiser that the organization would be holding. A week into preorders, we had to start cutting people off as we were accumulating too many orders.

My favorite part of this flyer were the colors and how bright and cheerful they are yet they are not too overwhelming. The overall flyer is clean and fun; it very clearly shows what we are selling. The graphics on the flyer were created in Paint Tool SAI and showcase the different ways onigiri's are made throughout Japan.
Taste of JASA

This was something I made to hand out at one of our fundraisers to promote our weekly meetings and Taste of Japan event. I am really proud of this one because I think it really shows how much better I have gotten with Illustrator and Indesign in such a short amount of time. Until recently, I would have tried to do this whole thing in Photoshop. I also love how the colors ended up.
There was no real prompt for this one but I decided to try and use drinks found in Japanese vending machines. The only goal was to share the info for the events. Looking back, I realize I could have done better with the text; Unfortunately, text is not my strong point. I find I kind of struggle with it. Still, I really love how this came out and I hope I continue to produce work I am proud to share.
Taste of Japan(no text version)

By far my favorite piece so far. This is an illustration I made to promote my school's "Taste of Japan" event which is a Japanese festival style event. The photos feature imagery that will be displayed at the event. However, this is just the background for a flyer I made. I did eventually made a version with text on it.
This was made using Paint Tool SAI.
Taste of Japan (text version)

This is the final version of the banner. Excluding the illustrated background, this was made using a combination of Indesign and Illustrator.
