Insight
Work in collaboration with the Spanish artist Solimán López for the Arts Laboratory of Valladolid (LAVA) as part of the side exhibition of TEDxValladolid.

Idea
The installation uses a camera blinded by a laser, once the viewer steps in between the camera and the laser beam he's trapped in vortex of time and multiplicity.
Quoting the artist:
Wanna be is an installation based on the scientific principles of the origin of matter, time and space. New theories on this issue are defending the infinity of the Universe, which can generate a "repeat" or replicas of moments, places, events and of course persons.
The application selects the human figure with computer vision and replicates it several times to make it move across a plastic environment. Human is like the object that is always struggling to be out of Universe's rules.

Development
The application uses computer vision to detect the presence of the viewer, it applies a Mixture of Gaussian algorithm to remove the background and multiply the image of the viewers silhouette. The frames from the viewer's image are stored and played in loop with a time delay at random positions in the display grid.

Role
My role in this installation was co-ideation, coding and design of the interaction for the installation.
