Scenes From A Cyberpunk Kuala Lumpur

Scenes From A Cyberpunk Kuala Lumpur
Pixel Art Illustration, Animation
During my late night rainy bus rides from Kuala Lumpur, I've always imagined how Kuala Lumpur could be as a cyberpunk world, with its grungy old buildings, bright billboards and unsleeping lights. This project brings that idea to life in the form of four animated scenes.
Mamak Store. A sign of true cyberpunk dystopia—a RM19.90 Roti Maggi.
Nasi Lemak Stall. Spot the cat!
Mechanic Shed. That leaking barrel does not look healthy.
Apartment Unit. Boy is this guy fickle with his channels.
Characters:
I also drew out the characters present in each scene in order to help me conceptualise small backstories for each of them so that I can visualise their surroundings. Here you can take a closer look at the Nasi Lemak Stall vendor's cyborg attachment.
