Sharity Web Design

Sharity is a personal project started by my friend, Sheppard Somers. The goal was to create a peer to peer platform for giving where people would post about items they needed and accompany their requests with their story. The idea behind this platform was to create a direct link between the giver and the receiver, increase the feel-good aspect of giving by creating empathy and knowing exactly how you are helping someone, and to streamline the process of finding help and finding people to help.

This project is still in the works in both design and development. Below are some of my mockups that eventually led to the current iteration
DESIGN 1: In the first design, I used a muted blue tone with grey and a red accent. I also created this logo for Sharity, wanting to emphasize two hands to represent both giving and receiving as well as a paper cutout feel that makes the logo seem more friendly and personal. This design ended up being used for presentations for The Pitch and for Stamps Scholars to receive funding.
DESIGN 2: After the presentations, I received feedback regarding the designs that led me to change the color scheme to a bolder green color. The mockups are still a work-in-progress, but I am certainly learning so much and expanding my knowledge of UI/UX design!
