Johanniskraut wird im Volksmund auch Elfenblut genannt, wegen des roten Öls in der strahlenden Pflanze. Die Blüten sind zwischen Seide genäht und das dunkle Öl hinterläßt Spuren des materialisierten Sonnenlichts.

Send Blood of Elves as a gift! St. John's wort is also popularly called "Blood of Elves" in Germany, because of the red oil in the radiant plant. The flowers are sewn between the silk and the oil from the flowers leaves traces of materialized sunlight on the silk. It is a poetic memory of the healing power of this plant: the hypericin (a red pigment) has a euphoric and antidepressant effect. And it smells good ! So much can be told about it.
