This is my final photo project of my college career. It became one that I grew more passionate about over time due to the subject matter and hand drawn intentionality.

It is meant to symbolize the shifting perceptions one has of themselves because of internal and external influence. My model had become more confident in herself and where she is from (Morocco) after studying abroad. She is learning to identify with the black community after feeling the tension of being raised in the south, while not understanding her native culture. This project was an attempt to communicate these vast themes. I did this in a concentrated studio manner with the hopes of catching the emotion and self reflection of the model.
