#belongatBU - Bournemouth Uni 2015 Freshers Guide

#belongatbu was the 2015 September Freshers Induction campaign at Bournemouth University, run in collaboration between Bournemouth University and Students' Union at Bournemouth University.

During a focus group with staff and students, we reviewed previous themes for the campaign, including the use of a "student passport" and treating arriving at university for the first time as an adventure or holiday. Ultimately, we flipped this idea on its head and settled on the idea of belonging - that coming to university is about coming home.

The Bournemouth University Arrivals 2015 Events Guide is a 56 page B5 document, developed in collaboration between Bournemouth University and the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University, which aims to catalogue all the activities taking place in the local area for the September 2015 intake of new students.

The document was printed on Fair Trade 300gsm silk paper and mailed to over 3,000 prospective students – wrapped together with a second guide explaining the services and support available at university, after confirming their offer of study following the release of A-level results. The guide was also made available online at the end of July on the websites for the university and students’ union.
