For Creative Response subject, I decided to do a graphic novel. The problem was that many people think of graphic novel as the same thing as a comic book. Although there are few graphic novels that are not suitable for minor readers, parents still think of the same way. Thus, I did a graphic novel as a teaching material for standard 5 student (11 years old) which the storyline is based from one of the chapters in the English textbook. Activity pages and stickers were included within the graphic novel.

After deciding on the character design and the plot of the novel, I proceed with the storyline sketches

The story is about Danny and Sara, who have lost their pet cat by a stranger. With the bracelet given by their scientist dad, they could become superheroes. Danny could fly and gain strength while Sara's IQ increases. They met the kidnapper and they were challenge to 2 different challenges by the monster. With their enhance power, it was easy for them to beat the challenge and get their cat back.

All of the scenes were then traced into Illustrator and colored. Text were put and other effects like shadow and highlight are then added to the pages.
