The Eye Table - Joint Project with Wolkberg Casting Studios

I wanted to create a feeling of weightlessness when posed with the opportunity to design a table frame to fit Wolkberg's beautiful cement top.

The top was cut into four pieces and assembled onto a hidden frame in the center of the table top. Small extensions of the central frame allow for an overhang of 450mm.

The Eye Table was exhibited at  the 2017 100% Design Johannesburg with Wolkberg as a part of their stand and product offering. The design is now being reconfigured and improved on and will continue to be sold with Wolkberg as a partnership project.
