AUTUMN IN VALDASO, ITALY
November 2017
Valdaso is a valley that extends eastward from Comunanza, at the feet of Sibillini Mountains, until Pedaso, on the Adriatic Sea, between the provinces of Fermo and Ascoli Piceno. The valley is pierced by the small river Aso, where the name comes from, that creates the right conditions for a thriving agriculture: fruits, vegetables, and their products. And in this autumn, vineyards are king.
The background of the Sibillini Mountains enhances the beauty of the place.
Typical vineyards product wines like Rosso Piceno, Rosato, Pecorino, Passerina. The last two are really peculiar of this area.
Carassai is one of those villages built  over the hills, dominating the valley below.
Bacco would be excited to be here!
