Pregnancy Remote Monitor Device
Luca Abate, from leading Melbourne industrial design studio Charlwood Design gave me the opportunity to experience life as a design consultant. Focusing on future medical technology I got a valuable insight into Charlwood Design’s product development process developing a new product from initial brief, to concept and through to prototype. Project key words: conceptual design, communication, project management and research tools.

The monitor could easily be attached to clothes with a clip and a medical skin patch. The monitor is charged with induction. This is indicated with a pulsed light. The ultrasound transducer together with the medical skin patches are stored inside the charger when charging.
Light indicates user interaction and power status. To turn on or off hold for 3 seconds.
Concept development. Pencil and copic sketches.
