Hamlet by William Shakespeare

HAMLET BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
The design of the sleeve represents the visual hallucinations that Hamlet was said to have, with the glitched typography mimicking the visuals we commonly associate with hallucination. The line “O, that this too too sullied flesh would melt” is taken from a quote when Hamlet first showed signs of his madness in the play. The words are distorted and arranged in a random manner to depict the chaos that Hamlet had ensued in Elsinore since he started acting crazy.

The overall book design uses the colour scheme of red, black and purple, representing the blood shed and passion Hamlet had for avenging his father, the deaths in Hamlet and the sufferings of the characters in the play.
