Brand Identity: Sunshine and Shores Artistic Services

This client's business started when she began up-cycling beat up vintage furniture turning the pieces into beautiful one of a kind creations for local customers. From there, she expanded her services to re-upholstering and custom painted signs, hoping to one day segue into home staging services for individuals trying to sell their homes as well.

The brand identity had to be just right since the client is an artist herself; though, what she was looking for, she wasn't quite sure. Starting with the instructions to create a design inspired by watercolor emblems with the objective to intrigue customers into learning more about her products and services, established was the logo above.
First digital comps. Guidance from client, "less formal and more personal"
Second digital comps which include handwritten-style fonts, and the client's favorite flowers. The identity was forming, though it still felt as though the design could be more approachable and cohesive.
In getting to know the client better, I discovered that she cherished her Bernese Mountain dog dearly. Thus, Samson became the mascot for Sunshine and Shores.
