The design of the stage space. Baccalauréat project.

This novelis a drama, the scene of action basically are the steppes of Manchzhuria. Themain characters are Collectors of a hemp, the young man expelled from atheological seminary for heresy, a family of wolves, shepherds.

It is asimple and minimalistic concept based on using of screens, a black background, accentuation on semantic details and colour illumination. In the initialcondition the space would look absolutely neutral and would not comprise anyreal signs of time and a place of events taking place in it. Minimum ofexpressive means are used in elements of scenery. The sense is put not only inthe element of scenery itself, but also in its position on a scene. Elementsreplace each other dynamically, depending on the scene of action for each episode.

The reason of using wolfs in scens' visuallisation is wolfs' nature of people shown in this play.

Epilogue
This scheme reflects what expressive means would be used:

1.COLOUR. The general colour of a background is black. Blackness creates a certain untimely space where the place and date become conditional things. The atmosphere of some scenes is underlined by means of colour illumination. Green is the colour for display of a narcotic dope, red – pain and death. You can see f colour score on the visualization.

2.FORGROUND & BACKGROUND. The specifics of this hall allows to break the action into 2 plans:

The foreground – the actions occurring on the open space
(Fields, a plantation, a court yard),
Background – in the closed space where for an interior reconstruction some elements will be used
(Edition, a compartment, the house of the shepherd Boston, chaikhana).
The elements of scenery – their form, the sizes and the coloristic decision are dictated by real analogues as they have the purpose – to send us to existing premises.

3.The DETAIL. The niche on a background on the first floor will comprise a symbol of some episodes. It will be used in scenes:

In the house of the shepherd Boston - the cradle with Kendzheshem (the son of Boston) will be located there,
In a court yard of shepherd Bazarbaj - a cage with puppies (which he had stolen from a den),
And in punishment scenes with Avdij (the main character) and a drop scene – a cross (as the religious subjects are traced in this subject line: collectors of a hemp leave Avdij crucified on a pine)

4.The INVOICE. Screens-panels, with the various invoice put on them will be used for transfer of character of premises and national colour.

The arrangement of these panels also depends on a premise openness/closeness.

Panel are settle down on the first line (between forward and a background) for a designation of space about the railway and in a court yard.
Court yard – plaster,
The white screen on the first line is used in the episode with slides.

For all closed premises the screen settles down in depth (on a background).
The house of the shepherd Boston, chaikhana – carpets,
Compartment – a wooden covering,
Edition – wall-paper in a strip.

5.The SMOKE. The creeping smoke is started up on a scene in the episodes connected with drugs. It can be considered to be a smoke of a cigarette or a dope obscuring a brain.

6.ILLUMINATION. Illumination places semantic accents.
