Rib-chair
This chair design was started as a 2nd year project at CPUT. The original brief was to design a chair by taking inspiration from a chosen designer, the designer I chose was Philippe Starck. The Rib-chair get its name from the obvious shape created by the plexiglass back rest. Rib-chair is not only functional but aesthetically pleasing, you no longer need to sacrifice style for comfort. The seat of the chair has a grove to fit the shape of you while you sit. The rich yet simplistic colours of the wood and plexiglass can be matched with any decorative pillows to add to the comfort of the chair.
The design of this chair is not only to be functional but uses the philosophies of Philippe Starck in that it is a statement piece. It is guaranteed that with a chair like this you will never be left convocation-less.
