Nha Trang
A project where we had to create an identity system of their chosen destination/city. Applications such as letterhead, envelope, business card, and standards manual were produced after the design of the logo. I chose Nha Trang as the city. It is a coastal city located in Vietnam. Known for its water activities, fishing occupations, and basket boats, I created an identity that encompasses all of the city’s exotic characteristics and features.
I went first went through a brand matrix where I listed the characteristics I find in the city and plot them out to see where it is located on our chosen labeled axis. I later on created mood boards that contain collaged photos, typography and color swatches to help further hone the identity.
Variations of logos were conceptualized from these mood boards, and I narrowed down the potentials. After the logo has been finalized, I moved onto creating a kit-of-parts of the identity packet, which includes letterhead, envelope, business cards, and a style guide for the logo appropriate logo usage.
