This video art, was inspired by the masterpiece The Gift (1921) by Man Ray. Ray took a simple utilitarian object, an iron, and made it evoke different qualities by attaching the tacks. Hence the tacks, which cling and hold, contrast with the iron, which is meant to smoothly glide, and both are rendered useless. The iron, represents domesticity and possibly femininity; the tacks represent carpentry and hence masculinity.
I choose the ladder as the masculine object, and the shoes, as the femenin one. The interaction between this two objects, shows the relationship between man and woman, the indiference of the man and the hysterical but powerful woman.
