Light and Scale (Week 7)

Week 7 (Image 1 of 5) - Light and Scale

Title: Nightscape
Technique: I photographed this image using a Canon SLR camera on a 4 second shutter speed, and an 8.0 aperture.
Reasoning: I was inspired to take this image as we were discussing light and scale during this weeks tutorial. This image portrays both of those traits as it experiments with light but creates an interesting scale as the only things in focus are two bright lights.
Reflection: I like this image as it creates a different take on a typical city scape photographs and creates a different spin on the light and scale photographs discussed in the tutorial.

Week 7 (Image 2 of 5) - Light and Scale

Title: Jerry (1)
Technique: This image was photographed using a Canon SLR camera using a shutter speed of 1/4000, and an aperture setting of 5.6.
Reasoning: This image was inspired by the tutorial class in which we experimented with focal points to create scale and depth. I found this task interesting as I had never quite considered the impact that focal points have on scale.
Reflection: I believe this image works well in showing my understanding for this task.

Week 7 (Image 3 of 5) - Light and Scale

Title: Jerry (2)
Technique: This image was produced using a Canon SLR camera with a shutter speed of 1/320, and an aperture setting of 4.5.
Reasoning: This image was inspired by the tutorial class in which we experimented with focal points to create scale and depth.
Reflection: This image was simple but effective and easily met the task requirement.

Week 7 (Image 4 of 5) - Light and Scale

Title: Rhino
Technique: This image was produced suing angles and an iPhone camera.
Reasoning: This image was produced during the tutorial whilst we were gaining an understanding of focal points to create depth and scale.
Reflection: I like this image because it is quite simple, but the rumpled paper creates and interest depth and clearly alludes to the brief.

Title: Rescue me!
Technique: This image was produced suing angles and an iPhone camera.
Reasoning: This image was produced during the tutorial whilst we were gaining an understanding of focal points to create depth and scale.
Reflection: This image is comical and simple, but uses focal points to create scale and depth.
